Perumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah "apakah ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara kegiatan ekstrakurikuler pramuka dengan pengembangan pendidikan budi pekerti pada siswa kelas VII Smp Negeri 01 Wanasari-Brebes tahun pelajaran 2010/2011?"
Tujuan yang hendak di capai dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya hubungan yang signifikan antara kegiatan ekstrakurikuler pramuka dengan pengembangan pendidikan budi pekerti pada siswa kelas VII Smp Negeri 01 Wanasari-Brebes tahun pelajaran 2010/2011.
Untuk menjawab pertanyaan tersebut diatas, diajukan sebuah jawaban sementara yaitu "ada hubungan yang signifikan antara kegiatan ekstrakurikuler pramuka dengan pengembangan pendidikan budi pekerti pada siswa kelas VII Smp Negeri 01 Wanasari-Brebes tahun pelajaran 2010/2011".
Guna membuktikan jawaban sementara tersebut, maka dilakukan penelitian terhadap 30 responden.Instrumen penelitian ini berbentuk angket.Data yang telah di dapat, lalu diolah dengan menggunakan analisis korelasi product moment.
Dari hasil perhitungan data tersebut, diperoleh nilai thitung lebih besar dari pada ttabel (4,123 > 2,021).Itu berarti bahwa hipotesis nol di tolak sedangkan ehipotesis alternative diterima.
Berdasarkan penelitian ini, penulis menyimpulkan bahwa: "ada hubungan yang kuat dan positif antara kegiatan ekstrakurikuler pramuka dengan pengembangan pendidikan budi pekerti siswa pada siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 01 Wanasari - Brebes".
