Value of student achievement are good in material history of the struggle of Indonesia, more and more students are expected to understand and strengthen love for the homeland which is realized with the attitude of defending the country. This is a frame of mind in this study. The hypothesis of this research is no significant relationship between academic achievement of Indonesian struggle history material on the subjects of civic education with an attitude of defending state Class VI students Sawojajar Elementary School District 03 Wanasari Brebes Academic Year 2010/2011. While the population in this study are all Class VI students of SDN 03 Sub Wanasari Sawojajar Brebes Academic Year 2010/2011 with the number of students 21. Data collection techniques using questionnaires to find out the attitude of defending state students. While the technique of data analysis used the Pearson Product Moment Correlation technique. Procedure Pearson Product Moment Correlation technique used to test whether there is any significant relationship between two variables. The results with Pearson Product Moment Correlation technique obtained a value of r_xy=0,836. To test the hypothesis that value r_tabel on the significant level of 5% with N = 21 is 0.433. So we got the result r_xy=0,836 > r_tabel=0,433. Based on these results it can be concluded if the hypothesis in this study can be accepted." />

Tugas pendidikan kewarganegaraan adalah untuk mengembangkan kecerdasan, tanggung jawab dan partisipasi warga negara serta mampu mempertahankan identitas bangsa Indonesia. Kemampuan terakhir dapat terwujud dengan cara mempelajari sejarah perjuangan bangsa Indonesia.Untuk itu, siswa perlu dibekali materi sejarah perjuangan bangsa Indonesia. Tujuan diberikan sejarah kepada siswa, untuk mempertebal rasa cinta tanah air dan bangsa yang diwujudkan dengan sikap bela negara. Berdasarkan latar belakang masalah tersebut, maka dapat dirumuskan masalah "apakah ada hubungan yang signifikan antara prestasi sejarah perjuangan bangsa Indonesia pada mata pelajaran pendidikan kewarganegaraan dengan sikap bela negara siswa?"
Pemberian materi sejarah perjuangan bangsa Indonesia pada siswa dilakukan dengan cara pendekatan pembelajaran yang sesuai kondisi siswa.Kemudian untuk mengetahui penguasaan materi dari siswa, digunakan evaluasi formatif yang menghasilkan nilai prestasi belajar siswa. Nilai prestasi belajar siswa yang baik pada materi sejarah perjuangan bangsa Indonesia, diharapkan siswa makin memahami dan mempertebal rasa cinta tanah air dan bangsa yang diwujudkan dengan sikap bela negara. Hal tersebut merupakan kerangka berpikir dalam penelitian ini.
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif yang memerlukan hipotesis untuk memberikan arah agar permasalahannya menjadi jelas. Hipotesis penelitian ini adalah ada hubungan yang signifikan antara prestasi belajar materi sejarah perjuangan bangsa Indonesia pada mata pelajaran pendidikan kewarganegaraan dengan sikap bela negara siswa Kelas VI SD Negeri Sawojajar 03 Kecamatan Wanasari Kabupaten Brebes Tahun Pelajaran 2010/2011. Sedangkan populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa Kelas VI SD Negeri Sawojajar 03 Kecamatan Wanasari Kabupaten Brebes Tahun Pelajaran 2010/2011 dengan jumlah populasi sebanyak 21 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik kuesioner untuk mengetahui sikap bela negara siswa. Sedangkan teknik analisis data digunakan teknik Korelasi Pearson Product Moment. Prosedur teknik Korelasi Pearson Product Moment dipakai untuk menguji ada atau tidaknya hubungan yang signifikan antara dua variabel.
Hasil penelitian dengan teknik Korelasi Pearson Product Moment diperoleh nilai sebesar . Untuk pengujian hipotesis maka nilai tersebut dikonsultasikan pada pada taraf signifikan 5 % dengan N=21 adalah 0,433. Maka didapat hasil nilai > = 0,433.
Berdasarkan hasil tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan jika hipotesis dalam penelitian ini dapat diterima. Bearti ada hubungan yang signifikan pada taraf signifikansi 5% antara prestasi belajar sejarah perjuangan bangsa Indonesia dengan sikap bela negara siswa Kelas VI SD Sawojajar 03 Kecamatan Wanasari Kabupaten Brebes Tahun Pelajaran 2010/2011.
