The objectives of the research is to find out the effect of English Inflection Mastery on the writing ability(An experimental study on the second year students of SMP N 3 LaranganBrebesin the academic year 2011/2012).
Based on the learning theories and the frame of thinking, the hipotesis of this research is proposed :”students who have goodEnglish inflection mastery is supposed to have better writing ability than the students who have low English inflection mastery in the second year of SMP Negeri Larangan 3 Brebes in academic year 2011/2012.
The population of this research is the secondyear students of Junior High School, the total number of the students is 288 students. the sample of this research is 60 students and divided into two groups. The first group is experimental group consist of 30 students and the second group is the central group consists of 30 students.
Data analysis of this research is ested by using t-test, in oerder to know whether the the hypothesis is accepted or not.
The result of researchis 2.694 while the t-table with significant level 5% (0,05) and the degree of fredom of 58 is 2,000. Because the t-counted is bigger than t –table. (2.694> 2.000) so that the zero hypothesis (Ho) is refused and equal hypothesis (Hi) is accepted.
The conclusion of the research is that students who have goodEnglish inflection mastery have writing ability better than the students who have low inflection mastery.
