The objective of this research is to know the effectiveness of using three dimensional teaching media on sixth grade students of SD N Sumurpanggang I, Tegal city in academic year 2011/2012.
Based on the theoretical background and logical frame work, the research hypothesis is proposed as follows: There is a difference of the students English achievement between the students who were taught using three-dimensional media and that who are not taught by using the three-dimensional media on sixth grade students of SD N Sumurpanggang I in academic year 2011/2012.
The research population is the entire 6th grade students Sumurpanggang 1 Margadana Tegal in academic year 2011/2012. The research samples consists of 40 students which divide into 2 (two) groups. The first group is the experimental group consisting of 20 students and second group is the control group consisting of 20 students. The researcher determined the sample at random using a lottery technique
The data of this research is gained by multiple choices test, which consist of 30 items. The analysis of this research is calculated by using t-test formula. The result of research shows that t-test is 2,6336. After consulting to t-table at significance level 1%, so it is gained t-table is 2,576. The research result shows that t-test is higher than t-table (2,6336 > 2,576). Therefore, the Ha is accepted and Ho is refused.
From above calculation, it is concluded that there is a significant difference in achievement between students who are taught by three-dimensional media and students who are not taught by three-dimensional media on sixth grade students of SD N Sumurpanggang I, in academic year 2011/2012.
