The Effect of Applying Cooperative Learning Inside Outside Circle type towards the Students Vocabulary Achievement (An Experimental Study on the Fourth Grade Students’ in the Second Semester of SD N 03 Cibelok Pemalang and SD N 03 Jebed Pemalang in Academic Year 2011/2012)

The objective of this research is to know whether there is a positive effect of applying cooperative learning inside outside circle type towards the students’ vocabulary achievement on the fourth grade students in the second semester of SD Negeri 03 Cibelok in academic year 2011/2012.
Based on the review of related theories and the logical framework, the hypothesis of this research is: “There is a positive effect of applying cooperative learning inside outside circle type towards the students vocabulary achievement on the fourth grade students in the second semester of SD Negeri 03 Cibelok Pemalang in academic year 2011/2012”.
The population of the study is all of the fourth grade students of Taman subdistrict which consist of 3136 students. The writer uses cluster random sampling to take two sample groups where the samples consist of 60 students. The research design in this study is two group designs where of SD N 03 Cibelok an experimental group and SD N 03 Jebed as a control group
To get data, the writer uses a test as the using instrument of the research. The type of a test is vocabulary test in the form of multiple choices with fourth alternatives A, B, C and D. To know the validity and reliability of the instrument, the writer gives try out to 30 other students that do not belong to the sample of the research but they have the same competence and characteristic as the sample of this research. After the writer gives try out instrument, the writer finds out 31 tests is valid by using internal validity. The writer takes 30 test items of vocabulary test to 30 students as the sample to get the data of this research.
The description of the data obtained between group I(experimental group) with average rating of 81,533 and group II(control group) with a mean value 73,596. Afterwards, The data of this research is gotten by using t-test formula. Based on the result of the data analyze, the writer gets t-test 4,510 on the degree of freedom (df) 58 and the level of significant 5%, the writer get t table 1,960. It shows that t test is higher than t table (4,510 >1,960). It means that the hypothesis of this research (H1) is accepted and H0 is refused. The writer concludes that “There is a positive effect of applying cooperative learning inside outside circle type towards the students’ vocabulary achievement on the fourth grade students of SD Negeri 03 Cibelok Pemalang in academic year 2011/2012”.
