Students Grammar Test Achievement Using Sentence Completion In Multiple-Choice and Supply Tpe Forms ( An Experimental Study at Fifth Grade Students of Mangkukusuman 7 and 4 Elementary Schools in The Academic Year of 2011/2012).

The objectives of the research are to find out whether or not there is a significant score difference on grammar test using sentence completion in multiple choice form and sentence completion in supply type form; and to find out which is better, grammar test between sentence completion in multiple choice form and sentence completion in supply type form that can reflect the students’ achievement.
The population in this research which is at fifth grade of Mangkukusuman 4, 5 and 7 elementary schools students is 120 students. Then the writer takes 60 students from Mangkukusuman 4 and 7 as sample by using random sampling technique which is divided into two groups; it consists of 30 students for each group. They are experimental group which are taught by using multiple-choice form and the control group which are taught by using supply type forms. 30 multiple-choice item test is given in the experimental group and 30 supply type items test is for control group. This study is categorized as a quantitative descriptive. The technique for collecting data is acquired by giving two kinds of test which contains grammar material that have been given in the treatments before. Product Moment Correlation is to prove its validity. For example for number one of try out test. The writer finds that r-test value is 0,401. After consulting with the 5% significant level, the writer finds that r-table with N= 30 is 0,361, so r-test is higher than the r-table. It means that number one is valid.
After counting t-test, the writer finds the result of t-test is 2.47. The writer consults it to the degree freedom ( df ) = (N1+N2)-2 =(30+30)-2 = 58 is 1.67. It proves that the result of t-test is higher that t-table (2,47 > 1,67 ). Because of the result of the t-test is higher than t-table, so the zero hypothesis ( H0) is refused and the alternative hypothesis ( H1 ) is accepted. It means that there is a significant effect of the first group and the second group. So it can be concluded that sentence completion in multiple choice form is better than sentence completion in supply type form that can reflect the students’ grammar achievement.
