THE EFFECT OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF CONCEPT SENTENCE TECHNIQUE TOWARDS THE STUDENTS’ ABILITY IN WRITING (An Experimental Study On The Eight-Year Students Of SMP N 04 Brebes In Academic Year 2011/ 2012)
The objective of this research is to gain information whether or not there is a positive effect of using concept sentence technique on the eighth-year students’ ability in writing at junior high school.
The research is done in the eighth-year at SMP N 04 Brebes in the academic year 2011/2012. The total number of subject are 243. In this research, the writer uses cluster sampling technique to choose the subject of the research. The writer takes 82 students as the sample. They are divided into two groups. Each group consists of 41 students. The first group is experimental group and the second group is control group.
The writer gives a test to the first group and the second group, the instrument used in this research is essay test, and the time allocation is 60 minutes to do.
Based on the results that have been tested by using T-test formula, the conclusion can be obtained that there is significant effect of using concept sentence technique towards the students’ ability in writing of the eighth-year in SMP N 04 Brebes.
