STUDI SIFAT MEKANIK PENGARUH JENIS KAMPUH LAS PADA PENGELASAN BAJA SS 400
The purpose of this study was to determine the strength of the connection
with the connection strength by comparing the use of different types of weld
seam. Type of seam welding seam used is ½ V with an angle of 45 , then seam V
to 70 angle and seam U with an angle of 20 . The types of seam will be tested
using the test composition, tensile testing, hardness testing, and photo micro
testing.
The material who used in this study is kind of steel SS 400 with length
100 mm and 150 mm, width 20 mm and 30 mm and thick 10 mm. The steel that
cut according to the way than will be created a seam before processing of welding.
After processing of make a seam then the next step is process of welding, after
that the specimen is ready to test by three kind of tests, it is tensile testing,
hardness testing, and photo micro testing.
The results of various tests is to test the composition shows that the type
of material used is a type of steel SS400. For tensile testing showed that seam ½ V
has an average tensile strength 33.13 /, V seam has an average pull
strength 43.57 / and U have the seam tensile strength average 39.47
/, so for tensile testing seam V has the greatest tensile strength between
the seam and the seam ½ V U. For Vickers hardness testing method is
microhardeneses results for V ½ seam weld area strength is the average force
160.47 /, regions HAZ hardness strength average was 150.32 /
and the strength of the parent metal hardness average is 115.88 /. For V
seam weld area hardness strength average was 164.44 /, regions HAZ
hardness strength average was 145.25 / and the parent metal hardness
average power is 124.54 /. For U seam weld area hardness strength
average was 162.63 /, regions HAZ hardness average power was 146, 64
/ and the parent metal hardness average power is 123.64 /.
