THE EFFECTIVENESS OF APPLYING CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT TOWARD THE STUDENTS’ READINGCOMPREHENSION SKILL (An Experimental study to the first grade students of SMK Kesehatan Amanah Husada Pemalang in the academic year of 2012/2013)

This research aims at finding out the effectiveness of applying classroom management towards the student’ reading comprehension skill ( An Experimental Study to the First Grade Students of SMK Kesehatan Amanah Husada Pemalang in the academic year of 2012/2013 ).
Based on the review of related theories, Classroom Management is a step or procedure to create a good learning process and to solve a complex problem in learning. Classroom management focusses on students’ participation and it is similar with cooperative learning which is divided the students in group.
The population of this research is the first grade students of SMK Kesehatan Amanah Husada Pemalang in the academic year of 2012/2013. The number of population is 58 students. The sample is taken by using cluster random sampling technique. The number of sample is 50 students, they are divided into two groups, group one is experimental group consists of students who are taught by applying classroom management and group two as control group who are taught without applying classroom management.
Data analysis of the research is tested by using t-test. Based on the result with degree of freedom (df) 48 on the level significant of 5% t- table is 2.001, it shows that t-ratio is higher than t-table ( 3,869 > 2.001 ). It means there is significant difference of reading comprehension skill between students who are taught by applying classroom management and the students who are taught without classroom management.
The conclusion of this research is classroom management gives positive effect towards the students’ reading comprehension skill to the first grade students of SMK Kesehatan Amanah Husada Pemalang in the academic year of 2012/2013.
