A DESCRIPTIVE STUDY ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF CURRICULUM 2013 ON ENGLISH SUBJECT IN TERMS TEACHING LEARNING PROCESS AND STUDENTS RESPONSES (Case Study at Seventh Grade Students in the State Junior High School 1 and State Junior High School 19 Tegal in the Academic year 2013/2014 )

Curriculum is one of components in education which contains education purpose, some material, and learning experience for students. The objectives of this thesis are to describe the implementation of Curriculum 2013 on English subject in terms teaching learning process and students’ responseat seventhgrade students on the second semester. The research subjects of this study are the seventh grade students of Junior High School Students on the second semester.This study is conducted by using qualitative research method and the techniques used are observation, interview, and quetioner.
The writer conducted observation in the State Junior High School 1 and State Junior High School 19 Tegal. Based on the observation, the result of this study are as follows : the implementation of curriculum 2013 used scientific approach, the English teacher used some methods in teaching and learning process, such as communicative teaching learning process, PAIKEM, and conceptual teaching learning, the implementation of curriculum 2013 got students’ positive responses in the State Junior High School 1 and State Junior High School 19 Tegal. The implementation curriculum 2013 increased students’ secure in teaching learning process, conducted teaching learning process students more confident, active, and creative.
It can be concluded that the implementation of curriculum 2013 had been tried in the State Junior High School 1 and State Junior High School 19 Tegal with teachers’ creativity in teaching method and many positive students’responsessuch as, students are more anthusiastic in teaching learning process by the implementation of curriculum 2013, students had more spirit to understand the material, and students are more confident to give opinion.The writer suggests the implementation of curriculum 2013 needs team work by all of elements in education, such as government, head master, teachers, and students to get positive progress for education.
