THE EFFECT OF USING COOPERATIVE LEARNING TYPE AUDITORY INTELLECTUALLY REPETITION (AIR) TOWARD STUDENT’S GRAMMAR ACHIEVEMENT OF THE TENTH GRADE STUDENTS OF SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL An Experimental Study on Students of SMAN 01 Larangan in Academic Year of 2014/2015

The objective of this research is to find out whether there is possitive effect or not in using Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) learning model on students’ grammar achievement at tenth grade students of SMAN 01 Larangan in academic year of 2014/2015.
The population of this research is the tenth grade students of SMAN 01
Larangan which the total is 335 students. The total sample of this study is 75 students. The writer uses cluster random sampling technique to take the sample of the research. The result from taking the sample are devided into two, one group as the experimental group consists of 38 students and another group as the control group consists of 37 students. The students in experimental group is taught by Auditory Intellectually Repetition and the students in control group are taugth by Visual Auditory Kinesthetic.
The instrument used in this research is a test. The type of the test used is multiple choice which has 4 options (A, B, C, and D) which one optional is correct and other optional is incorrect. The number of the test is 30 items and the time allocation is 40 minutes. The materials are grammar materials about tenses. The writer tried it out to 39 students out of sample as the try out group to find out the validity and reliability of the test before the test given to the sample.
Data analysis is tested by using t-test. The result of t-test is 4,216. The ttable is 1.669 at the 5% significance level that calculate by using Welch’s test to determime the degree of freedom which the result of calculating the degree of freedom is (df)=70. It shows that t-ratio is higher than t-table (4,216> 1,669). Based on the result of this study, it is concluded that the use of Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) learning model gives positive effect on students’ grammar achievement after they are taught using Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) learning model in the tenth grade students at SMAN 01
Larangan in academic year 2014/2015.
Based on the result of this study, it is concluded that the use of Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) learning model gives positive effect on students’ grammar achievement after they taught using Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) learning model. For english teachers, they are suggested to use Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) learning model in teaching grammar because it is an innovative and good technique to make students comprehend grammar easily.
