Keyword: Group Dynamic Technique, Analytical Exposition Text, Students’ writing achievement.
In learning writing, many students think that writing is easy, in fact they still have difficulties, such as when they want to write, they confuse the generic structure, language feature, and to produce some of text, and the problem to deliver their own ideas in writing, and the limited vocabulary knowledge and information owned by students. From the problems above. The writer decided to choose and apply Group Dynamic technique in teaching writing, So, the writer uses Group Dynamic technique to overcome the problems.
The statements of the problems of this research is there any significant difference on students writing achievement between the students who are taught using Group Dynamic technique and the students who are not taught using Group Dynamic technique?
This experimental reserarch used two-group design. The population of this research is all eleventh graders of SMA N 3 Brebes in the academic year of 2014/2015. The writer uses cluster random sampling technique to choose the sample of the research. The sample consists of two groups; the experimental group as group 1 (XI MIA 3) and control group as group 2 (XI MIA 4). The number of the sample is 40 students. Group 1 is experimental group which consists of the students who are taught by using group dynamic technique.
Based on calculation, the data is analysed by utilizing SPSS 17. Based on the data analysis of means in two unrelated group, It shows that t-test is 3.189, with degree freedom is 38 and the level significance (α) 5 % = 2.024. It is absolutely said that t-test is higher than t-table (3.189 > 2.024). It means that null hypothesis 3 (H3) is accepted.
The conclusion of this research as follows; the implementation of Group Dynamic Technique in teaching writing is effective to the eleventh grader of SMA N 3 Brebes in the academic year of 2014/2015.
