THE IMPLEMENTATION OF LINCS ( LIST IDENTIFY NOTE CREATESELF-TEST) strategy toward students vocabulary mastery (An Experimental Research to the Eighth Grade Students of MTs Miftahussalam Karang Sembung in the Academic Year of 2015/2016)

The background of the problem in this research is the less excitement of the eighth grade students of state Mts mifftahussalam karang sembung in learning english , especially in comprehending the vocabulary skill. Therefore, the writer applies the LINCS strategy in this research to solve this problem. The study is aimed to find out whether or not there is positive effect of using LINCS (List identify, note create self test ) strategy on vocabulary mastery.
In Mts Miftahussalam karang sembung so many student get difficulties in learning English. Because the students have limited vocabulary, so they can not learning English well. And make student not active in they class. Therefore, the writer decides to use LINCS strategy to teach vocabulary to eighth grade students.
This is an experimental research.The research uses two group design which consist between of the experimental group and control group. Each group consists of 30 students.The sample is taken by using random sampling technique. Experimental group consists of students who are taught by using LINCS strategy.In the last treatment, thewriter gives a post-test to the experiment group and control group to measure whether there is significant difference of students’ vocabulary mastery who are taught by using lincs strategy by using t-test.
The result of .the significant ( 2-tailed) is 0.000 and it is lower than 0.05 (0.000<0.05).It means that H03is rejected. So the result of this research is that there is positive effect of using LINCS strategy in vocabulary mastery in the eight grade students of MTs Miftahussalam Karang sembung.
The conclusion of this research is LINCS strategy gives possitive effect on students’ vocabulary mastery of the eighth grade students of MTs Mifftahussalam Karang sembung in the academic year 2015/2016.
