To know the validity and the reliability of the instrument, the writer had tried out by giving a test to 20 students having the same competence with the sample of the research.
Data analysis in this research is tested by using t-test to determine whether there is a significant difference in the result of the two groups. The research result shows that on degree of significance 5% there is a significant difference of students’ reading comprehension between students who are taught by using traditional legend activities and students who are taught without using traditional legend activities. Based on the data analysis, it shows that t-test is 2,759 and t-table is 2,021 at the significant level 5 % and degree of freedom 38, t-data is is higher than t-table (2,759>2,021). It means that the research hypothesis is accepted.
