The study is aimed to find out whether or not there is positive effect of using Action Flashcards Teaching Media towards Students’ Vocabulary Mastery in The Seventh Grade Students of MTs Assalafiyah Sitanggal in the Academic Year of 2015/2016.
This research is experimental which uses two group designs; the first group is experimental group and the second group is control group. Population of this study is the seventh grade students of MTs Assalfiyah Sitanggal who consists of 168 students. To collect the data, the writer takes 60 students of the population of MTs Assalafiyah Sitanggal as the sample by using cluster random sampling technique. The experimental group consists of 30 students taught by using action flashcards and the control group consists of 30 students taught without using action action flashcards. In collecting the data, the instrument used is a multiple choice test in the form of vocabulary test that consists of 25 questions. To analyze the data, the writer uses t-test formula to know the positive effect of using action flashcards teaching media. The writer uses the formula of product moment to know whether the instrument is valid and reliable.
Furthermore, the data is tested by t-test formula. Score of t-test is 2,23 whereas t-table with degree of freedom (58) and on the level significance 5%, the value of t-table is 1,645 (2,23>1,645). It means, there is positive effect of using action flashcards teaching media towards students’ vocabulary mastery.
From the data analysis above, the writer can conclude that the use of action flashcards teaching media gives positive effect towards the Students’ Vocabulary Mastery of the Seventh Grade of MTs Assalfiyah Sitanggal in Academic year of 2015/2016.
