The objective of this Research Project is to find out the effect of using e-Pictures on the students’ vocabulary achievement. e-Pictures is one of media which can be used in teaching vocabulary.
The research hypothesis is e-Pictures gives positive effect toward students’ vocabulary achievement. e-Pictures is applied to teach the fourth grade students of Ihsaniyah 1 Pusaka Elementary School Tegal in Academic Year of 2016/2017.
In this Research Project, the population is the fourth grade students of Ihsaniyah 1 Pusaka Elementary School Tegal in the Academic Year of 2016/2017. which is totaly 70 students. The writer uses cluster random sampling technique to take the sample of the research. The total numbers of sample is 60 students; 30 students as experiment group and 30 students as control group. The experiment group is the group of students who are taught by using e-Picture. The control group is the group of students who are not taught by using e-Pictures. After teaching for nine meetings, the writer gives a test to experiment group and control group. The test instrument of this research project is multiple-choice test which consists of 40 items and has four options, they are; A, B, C, and D.
The data is analyzed by using t-test, score of t-test is 4,2. While score of t-table at 5% level significance and on the degree of 58 is 1,645. Thus, t-test is higher than t-table (4,2 > 1,645). According to result of data, research hypothesis is accepted, so the null hypothesis (h0) is rejected.
It can be suggested that the teachers should use a new method, media or technique in learning English, for example by using e-Pictures, since it will make the students feel enjoyable and interested in learning process, especially in learning vocabulary. The teachers are also advised to use e-Pictures in English teaching and learning process to make effective and fun while learn vocabulary especially for the students of Elementary School.
