Based on background of the problem, there are many students has low speaking skill. Some of cause such as the technique which is not suitable in learning class.some of students recognized that sometimes strategy, technique, or method in learning class are bored morever uninterested. The finally the writer try to used Real Life Role Play Technique as research. The objective of this research is to know The Effect Of Applying Real Life Role Play Towards Speaking Ability Of The Tenth Grade Students Of Senior High School In SMA Balapulang In Academic Year 2017/2018.
In This Research, The writter used quantitative research and the type of research is exeperimental research. The population of this research is all of The Tenth Grade Students In The Second Semester of SMA Al-MuawanahBalapulang In Academic Year 2017/2018. The total number of the students are 150. The samples of the research are 40 students taken by using cluster random sampling. They are classified into two group, group I consists of 20 students as experiment class who are taught by Real Life Role Play Technique and group II consists of 20 students as control class who are taught by using Dicussion Technique. The writer used speaking test as research instrument. The type is text of dialogues.
t-ratio is used to know the difference result of two groups. The result of calculation analysis shows that t-ratio = 2.949 and then it is consulted to the level of significance 5% t-table = 2.021. It means that the result of t-ratio is higher than t-table. The hypothesis of this research is accepted.
The conclusion of this research shows that the Apply Real Life Role Play Has Positive Effect Toward Speaking Achievement To The Tenth Grade Students Of SMA Al-MuawanahBalapulang In academic year 2017/2018.
Suggestion of this research that Real Life Role Play Technique can be reference to teach speaking text material. Process learning activity can be more effective.
