Types of research used in this study was an experimental research design with Pre Experimental Design studies with the type of One Group Pre-test and Post-test Design. The population in this study were all students of class VIII N 2 Ketanggungan. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive random sampling, whereby a sample of this study are students who have low levels of communication skills. Methods of data collection in this research by using survey questionnaires with 38 items that previously had been tested so it can be used in research. The method of data analysis to determine the effectiveness of group counseling services in improving students' communication skills using the formula t test. Results from analysis with statistical calculations using t-test, the results of the calculation data obtained t count reached 2.169 and the rejection limit ttable with significance level 5% db obtained 1.833.
