The hypothesis raised in this research is "There are a positive influence and significant of social tuition towards the development of communications interaction the personality student class VIII SMP Negeri 4 Brebes Academic Year of 2009/2010 and there are not a positive influence and significant of social tuition towards the development of communications interaction the personality student class VIII SMP Negeri 4 Brebes Academic Year of 2009/2010". Condition development of communications interaction the personality of student class VIII SMP Negeri 4 Brebes 33,33% is enough. With technique analyse the correlation yield rratio equal to 0,885, is while rtable with level significant 5% rtable to N 36 = 0,329 or 0,885 > 0,329. Thereby can expressed that there is influence which are positive and signifikan between social tuition towards the development of communications interaction the personality of student class VIII SMP Negeri 4 Brebes Academic Year 2009/2010, the contribution of school tuition toward the development of communications interaction the personality is 78,32%, and the rest of 21,68% influenced by other factor which doesn't accurate the writer." />

Tujuan yang hendak dicapai yaitu (1). Untuk mengetahui bentuk bimbingan sosial pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Brebes tahun pelajaran 2009/2010, (2). Untuk mengetahui bentuk pengembangan interaksi komunikasi antar pribadi siswa pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Brebes tahun pelajaran 2009/2010, (3). Untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh bimbingan sosial terhadap pengembangan interaksi komunikasi antar pribadi siswa pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Brebes tahun pelajaran 2009/2010, (4). Hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini adalah Hipotesis Kerja (Ha): "Ada pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan bimbingan sosial terhadap pengembangan interaksi komunikasi antar pribadi siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Brebes tahun pelajaran 2009/2010" dan Hipotesis Nihil (Ho) : "Tidak ada pengaruh yang positf dan signifikan bimbingan sosial terhadap pengembangan interaksi komunikasi antar pribadi pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Brebes tahun pelajaran 2009/2010"
Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Brebes tahun pelajaran 2009/2010 yang berjumlah 240 siswa, diambil sampel 15% (sebanyak 36 siswa). Variabel yang digunakan ada 2, yaitu variabel bebas; adalah bimbingan sosial (X), sedangkan variabel terikat adalah pengembangan interaksi komunikasi antar pribadi (Y). Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah angket (kuesioner) sebagai metode pokok dan dokumentasi dengan wawancara sebagai metode pendukung.
Dengan metode analisis deskriptif diperoleh hasil bahwa Pelaksanaan bimbingan sosial pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Brebes 30,55% dan masuk kategori cukup. Kondisi pengembangan interaksi komunikasi antar pribadi siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Brebes 33,33% adalah cukup. Dengan teknik analisis korelasi menghasilkan rhitung sebesar 0,885, sedangkan rtabel dengan taraf signifikan 5% rtabel untuk n 36=0,329 atau 0,885>0,329. Dengan demikian dapat dinyatakan bahwa ada pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan antara bimbingan sosial terhadap pengembangan interaksi komunikasi antar pribadi siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Brebes Tahun Pelajaran 2009/2010, sedangkan besar sumbangan bimbingan sosial terhadap pengembangan interaksi komunikasi antar pribadi adalah 78,32%, dan sisanya 21,68% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak penulis teliti.
