The objective of this research is to know whether there is a positive Influence of Using Random Picture Media toward the Writing Achievement of The Seventh Grade Students of SMP N 2 Kramat Tegal In academic Year 2009/2010.
Based on the review of related study and logical frame work, the hypothesis of this research is purpose as follow: "there is a significant difference of writing achievement between students who are taught by using random picture media and students who are taught without using random picture media".
The population of the research is 360 students. The samples of this research are 60 students. The sample is divided into two groups: the experimental group and control group. Each group consists of 30 students. The samples are taken by using random sampling technique. The writer uses test as the instrument of the research. The type of the test is the multiple choice test with four options, A, B, C, and D. To know the reliability and validity of the test, the writer had tried out the instrument by giving test to 30 students who have the same competence as the samples of research. The data of this research is tested by using t test, for testing the different means of the two groups. On the level significance 0,05 and the degree of freedom 58, it shows that t-test is bigger than t table (2,770>1,645). It means that there is significant difference in the writing achievement between the students who are taught by using random picture media and without using random picture media and random picture media give positive influence toward the writing achievement of the seventh grade students of SMP N 2 Kramat Tegal in academic year 2009/2010
