The objective of the study is to know wheter there is the different o portepel assessment and conventional Assessment or not of the first grade student of MTs Wachid Hasyim Wanasari brebes, the academic year 2009/2010.
The hypothesis of the research proposed as follow, the students who are given portepel assessment test regulary will get better achievement than those who are not.
The population of this research is the first grade student of MTs Wachid Hasyim Wanasari Brebes, the total number of them is 121 student. The writer takes 30 student to be of the research the sample. They are divided into two group which consists of the student each.
The data analysis technique used is t-test with the level significance 5%, the result of t-test is, 7,440 and t-table 2,048 the hypothesis is accepted because the result of t-test is higher tha t-table (7,440 > 2,048). It means that, there are differences on student achievement who are given the portepel assessment and who are not given portepel assessment.
It could be colluded that student who are given porpetel assessment test will have better achievement than the students who are given conventional assessment.
