The objective of this research is to know the use of the processed skill approach in the English teaching learning process for SD Negeri student in the fifth years, first semester in Academic Year 2009/2010. The population in this research is the fifth year students of SD Negeri Pasarbatang 03, academic year 2009/2010. With the number of population consist of 40 students. The writer uses random sampling technique to choose the sample of the study. The number of the samples is 20 students, in which as the sample the writer divide into two groups, each group consist of 20 students, that is 20 students who are thaught by using processed skill approach taken as the experiment group ( I ) and 20 students who are thaught by using Inquri-discovery approach as the control group ( II ). The writer uses a test as the instrument of the research. Written test consist of 30 items in multiple choices types with four option. The test needs fourty five minutes to do. To know the validity and reability of the instrument. The result of the analysis shows that the degree significance is five percent (5%) and free degrees 38. The result of t-test is 2,4065 and t-table is 1,645 so the result of t-test is higher than t-table (2,4065 > 1,645). The conclusion of the research is the student who are given the English Lesson by the processed skill approach will get better English Achivement than those who are given the English lesson by Inquiry-discovey approach." />
