Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh informasi mengenai pengaruh positif penerapan CTL terhadap penguasaan kalimat perintah sederhana pada siswa kelas V semester II SDN Bandasari Kabupaten Tegal Tahun Ajaran 2009-2010.
Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah murid SD Negeri Bandasari kelas V tahun pelajaran 2009/2010. Kelas V SD Bandasari dibagi menjadi 2 kelas, kelas VA dengan jumlah 28 siswa dan kelas VB dengan jumlah 25 siswa.
Penulis menggunakan teknik random sampling untuk memilih sampel penelitian. Jumlah sampel penelitian ada 40 siswa. 20 siswa dari kelas VA yang diajar dengan menggunakan pendekatan CTL sebagai kelompok penelitian (kelompok 1) dan 20 siswa dari kelas VB yang tidak diajar menggunakan pendekatan CTL sebagai kelompok kontrol (kelompok 2)
Berdasarkan landasan teori dan kerangka berfikir dapat dirumuskan hipotesis penelitian sebagai berikut: "Terdapat pengaruh positif dalam penggunaan contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) terhadap penguasaan kalimat perintah sederhana siswa sekolah dasar".
Penulis menggunakan tes sebagai instrumen penelitian. Tes tertulis terdiri dari 20 soal pilihan ganda dan 10 soal dalam bentuk mencocokan soal dan jawaban. Waktu yang diberikan untuk mengerjakan 45 menit. Untuk mengetahui validitas dan reliabilitas instrumen, penulis menguji instrumen terlebih dahulu dengan memberikan tes pada 20 siswa diluar sampel yang mempunyai kemampuan yang sama dengan sampel penelitian.
Adapun data untuk penelitian dilakukan dengan uji-t dengan menentukan perbedaan nilai mean. Dari perhitungan t-hitung sebesar 2,383 dan setelah dikonsultasikan ke table t dengan taraf signifikan 5% dan derajat kebebasan 58, maka diperoleh sebesar 2,020. Ini berarti t-hitung lebih tinggi dari t-tabel.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa ada perbedaan antara siswa yang diajar menggunakan pendekatan CTL dan siswa yang tidak diajar dengan menggunakan pendekatan CTL. Maka penulis menyimpulkan bahwa hipotesis nol (Ho) ditolak dan hipotesis penelitian (Hi) diterima.

The Objective of this research is to know information about positive influence using of CTL in mastering imperative sentence to the fifth grade student SD Negeri Bandasari in Academic Year 2009/2010.
Population of this research is SD Negeri Bandasari students on the fifth grade in Academic Year 2009/2010. The fifth grade student of SD Negeri Bandasari split 2 class, class VA consists 28 students and class VB consists 25 students.
The writer uses the random sampling technique to choose the sample of the research. The number of the sample are 40 students. 20 students from class VA who are taught by using Contextual Teaching and Learning Approach as experiment group (1) and 20 students from class VB who are not taught by using Contextual Teaching and Learning Approach as control group (2)
Based on the theory and logical frame work the research hypothesis is proposed as follows "There is positive influence of using Contextual Teaching and Learning Approach to the student in mastering imperative sentence"
The writer uses a test as the instrument of the research, the written test consists of 20 items in multiple choice type with four option and 10 items in match question. The test needs 60 minutes to do. To know the validity and reliability of the instrument. The writer had tried out the instrument by giving a test to 20 students out of sample who have the same competence with the sample of research.
The result of descriptive analysis shows that on the level of significance five percent (5%) and free degree 58, the result of t-test is 2,383 and t-table is 2,020. So the result of t-test is higher than t-table (2,383 > 2,020).
So, the result of this research shows that there is significant difference between the students who are taught by using Contextual Teaching and Learning Approach and the students who are not taught by using Contextual Teaching and Learning Approach. The writer concludes that the hypothesis of null is rejected and the hypothesis of research is accepted.
